Emerging difficulties are most effectively resolved by early intervention.
Conception, pregnancy, birth and having a baby can all trigger unmanageable feelings as a parent that can lead to a sense of being unable to cope. Not experiencing the bond with your baby that you expected can be frightening. However these feelings are more common than you think. Together we will work towards making sense of these thoughts and emotions so that you will be able to enjoy your baby.
As children grow and develop they face challenges and provoke feelings, which can feel overwhelming, for both parents and themselves. Challenging behaviour or your child struggling to cope, can have a huge impact on family functioning as well as on your child's capacity to succeed at school, both socially and academically. Children express anxiety and depression in a different way from adults and this needs to be effectively recognised and managed. I strive to help you and your child develop the strengths and resilience they need in overcoming emotional and mental health difficulties they may develop.
